I mean the obv answer is making fewer things a commodity. What if we just stopped selling music and art, just made it and gave it away? Musicians would have to get other jobs, but most do now anyway.
We're playing into their hand treating art like a thing to be sold, a commodity.

I’d propose an app where your selected artists (big and small) automatically get sent $5 or $20 or whatever you set as a regular monthly payment. Like the days when you’d get one or two $24 cds or a $35 vinyl each month.
That doesn’t kill Spotify but it does at least pay artists.

What if Spotify was decentralized? He’s not giving away his service and he’s rich rich, yet we’re expected to give away ours? No.
