Technically speaking Murder of Sonic isn’t official. It wasn’t made by Sonic Team and instead by the social media team. It’s not even fully clear if it’s canon.

They’re permitting appearances of barry and the conductor family in stuff (stuff that had other cameos denied) so if it wasn’t canon initially it’s probably being worked into canon now.
