Weirdest part of the interview for me. @repauchincloss.bsky.social is clear about the corrupt threats of the Trump memecoin, bribery by crypto dumbasses under investigation, etc. Ezra even tees up crypto as a tech still looking for a use case (beyond money laundering and pump and dumps)

If the blockchain had uses that came even kinda close to outweighing the negatives, wouldn't we see them now, a decade plus into it? Do we need a blockchain caucus to go looking for them? Or should we just regulate crypto to death like the toxic casino full of negative externalities that it is?

He’s prolly trying toward off the Fairshake pac, which already raised over 120 m for the midterm after spending over 250 m in 2024. What they did to Bowman in NY and Sherrod Brown in Ohio sent a further message to ppl on the fence to get in line or face 10s of millions in primary opposition.

My state rep is in the MA Blockchain Caucus. I can’t think of a less helpful thing to be interested in. She could focus on transportation or the environment or elder care but nope…blockchain.

You don’t understand blockchain. What blockchain is good for is you say, “We should put elder care on the blockchain,” and then a bunch of dudes say, “Whoa, this guy’s a genius!” So it’s extremely useful in that way.
