Agreed. One thing I didn't mention in the grades is you also diversify the portfolio a bit, so to speak, although Oklahoma City's is already pretty diverse on its own.
Agreed. It makes sense for
OKC to kick the can down the road, especially with the current roster. Picks are cheap players and OKC’s payroll is gonna be tight after they resign the core.
i disagree with the assessment that trading deandre ayton was a mistake. ayton's growth and development are undeniable, and the suns' young core is more promising than the jazz's.
The key for Utah is not to hope Phoenix's rebuild extends to 2031. It's to trade the 2031 pick at the low point of Phoenix's rebuild before 2031 arrives. This is what David Griffin failed to do when the Lakers were firmly in the lottery when the buzz was "Lakers could give the Pelicans Wemby".
That's an interesting question. I feel like with the Lakers the bigger issue was them teasing with slow starts within seasons rather than the expectation they would bottom out in the future (or remain bottomed out).
Yes! This! We always trade trade trade instead of growing talent and lesser known players. I'd love to have Johnson, Bridges, Payne ect back. They're all thriving.

Makes sense considering OKCs logjam of picks this year and wealth of good young players on the roster.
