thats the thing, they *had* been talking about 'chesterton's fence' about immigration policy and primacy of the family, etc. but like all arguments made by right wingers, it was in bad faith, and quickly ignored when they got power to destroy the things that THEY hate.
What's worse is that he *has* to know this. Any complex system can and does have things go wrong, and keeping that from happening and minimizing damage when it does is a critical function in the system. Unless this is proof that he's never been at all involved operationally in any of his companies
