Then you would need to know how a successful political party insurgency works. I think agreement on clear goals, strategy and tactics is key. Need clear rules on how all Dems coordinate responses to Trump. Ex: if Trump or Cabinet does something impeachable, then impeach. Period.

IMO we need a shadow government that can coordinate mass action and resources across the non-fascist coalition, some mechanism to exercise power and agency that doesn't depend on the state. None of the actors who opposes or sites in the middle respond to anything but leverage. We need some.

Very likely true, but the way we get there (Trump & co. out of office) is by acting like an opposition movement.

Trump is going to refuse to accept defeat, and we get him to that breaking point through politics--either severe mass unpopularity due to policy disaster or a lost midterm election.

But if Dems are able to recapture both chambers in 2026, I think we can make it to the end of his term and force him to leave while mitigating the damage. If he's bleeding popularity and dragging down Republicans in elections, some (not most, but some) will start to break ranks.

The path depends on how long Musk is affiliated with government more than Trump. Trump’s just out to loot and be corrupt, Musk is there to destroy (and then loot).
