Mind you, way back in the '60s, before central heating reached the UK, I remember the February damp cold slowly anaesthetising my legs as I rode to work on the London Tube, a sensation I'd never felt in Cdn winters.

I remember going to Finland on business back at, oh, the end of the last century *wince*. We left London in damp and a few degrees C, shivering when we were outside. Arriving in Helsinki, it didn't feel cold at all, and I was really surprised it was -28C!

Meanwhile I’m worried my winter greens might start to bolt soon. We had a daytime high of 86 degrees Fahrenheit last week. This week is a little more chilly so hopefully bolt free for at least a little while longer.

My local garden club(Southeast Michigan) just had a winter sowing workshop and we planted seeds in milk jugs. 10/10 recommend for the smell of wet dirt alone.

I've got hoops over planters under this snow, I expect the parsley and chard to bounce back next week believe it or not.
may involve some shovelling.
Remember last winter toronto had one cold week.
