The party recovered a pair of human spectacles from the laboratory and donated it to some of the more studious and engineering mice in town who are now using it to build a firestarter (during the day) and observatory (at night) that's an elaborate tangle of rope and branches around the bent glasses.

Also, I'm becoming increasingly convinced that 2-3 hr sessions centered around single session jobs/missions with GM faction turns between sessions in a more-or-less open world is the best way for most people to play, both from an in-world and real-life perspective.

Last thing: 3 of the PCs willingly drank Two-Skulls' chalice and despite a 1/6 chance of straight up instant death and other ill effects, two of them got drunk and the other one got telepathic speech for 4 days. So... they chanced it and actually made out just fine, lol.

It always ends up so interestingly and really makes the world feel like this living thing that's developing on its own outside of the players and even the GMs view.

It actually went really well but definitely required me to keep a focused and tight rein on decision making, pacing, plannings, etc. to make sure things kept bouncing around enough that no one was out of play for too long. The party even split halfway through which added to the spinning plates, lol.

The nature of these types of systems makes it easier to run larger groups. Definitely not easy lol, but easier for sure. Running 5E with eight people for example, is something I would wish upon my worst enemy.

Agreed. Plus with something like 5e combat, there's no way we are getting anything done in 2 hours really if there's like even 1 decent fight.

Really fun but it requires focus and people wrangling to ensure things proceed steadily. Giving a short time limit for decisions helps a lot. Mausritter is very light in terms of rules and rolling which is a big help. It definitely was 10x easier to run than something like 5e would have been.
