I want to point something out.
Two things happen today at the exact same time
1st, 10 Ds voted to censure Al Green.
2nd, a huge group of Democrats standing in the well in solidarity with Al Green and singing “we shall overcome”
Which do you think more people are talking about?

If you have interest to try to primary, there's groups like Run For Something that support progressives both in primaries and general elections
They are going to vote them out. But you’d rather focus on dividing and propping the old way of doing things.
I appreciate all you do but your virtue signaling and self righteous tone throws a lot of people off of your work and I wish you’d take that into account.

Please. Primary them all. I’ve been a Dem Realpolitik flag waver for 30 years. The last three months have broken me. Time to clean house.
Tell them we “stand up” w/Al! ❤️
Shame on them!!😡

Reps. Case, Costa, and Gillen are not on Bluesky.
Here’s a question for the American people.
Mentioned but didn't emphasize the 10.

Could he have foreseen this and urged the caucus to stand united behind Al Green?
Isn't that sort of his job?
Ed Case of Hawaii
Tom Suozzi of New York
Jim Costa of California
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington
Jared Moskowitz of Florida
Ami Bera of California
Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania
Marcy Kaptur of Ohio
Laura Gillen of New York
Jim Himes of Connecticut
And those leaders, even though they didn't vote for the censure and joined in the hokey, performative musical number, were turning around and backchanneling this message to Axios...
Absent that, it takes on the quality of another bad Kente cloth moment.
CON: allowing the GOP to steam forward to fascism for decades, telling us that we can never have what we want and need, approving Trump's appointments
It's okay for people to focus on fixing the harm rather than feeling good about a gesture. Singing did not stop or slow fascism.
That party is in massive debt to us.
I work in his district and live right at the edge of it, so it feels personal.
I think what you mean is you don't have a problem with the bad job they're doing, an entirely different issue--and one we don't have to care about, much less be bound by.
Do you remember the representatives in New Zealand singing a haka in their parliament as protest?
Singing can pack a punch.

B: I'm not suggesting the primary needs to be against AOC. Send in some centrist who won't vote against their own party.
