In California the program is through CalFresh. Some of the support for this food stamp like program and for food banks comes from the state. That needs to be shared with my fellow red zone neighbors.

Ten miles? I’m rural. We have a local family owned market but their prices are somewhat high due to cost from distributors. It’s an hour and a half round trip to the Walmart. There’s a whole story around grocery politics in the woods.
