i feel if this were actually put into action i'd do a proper study on the target environment prior to blowing it to shit, figure out what's going on in it, and then monitor the blown-to-shit environment after, also figure out if it would it disrupt any currents
I'm not sure about basalt, but in terms of enhanced rock weathering with olivine, I remember reading that one of the concerns is metal toxicity from trace chromium and nickel in the dissolving rock.
