(just to fill in on the ~£500m/yr CfD cost, at £155/MWh in today's prices, that means a roughly £75-80/MWh reference price ie the expected price of electricity on the wholesale market)

UPDATE re reporting issues, Ofgem concluded last yr: "The investigation did not find any evidence suggesting that Drax does not meet the government’s threshold that a minimum of 70% of biomass must come from sustainable sources in order to receive scheme funding. "

It feels like a pulled punch.

If we’re adrift and losing, my instinct is that we then need to be more outspoken; change the pace by making more fuss.
