I never really understand why so many succesful pixel art games get a 3d sequel?
Like Hyper Light Drifter, Wizards of Legends or now Moonlighter. What's the rationale?

But to make it 3d and keep it a top down action roguelike?
Is 3d easier when it comes to produce assets? More versatile? Is it a marketing choice?
Plus with an hd look, I guess its easier to iterate on animations or scaling effects and such.
Scaling or rotating anything in pixel art is a pain xD
