I'm not sure how they could predict whether or not negotiations would be successful or what they could even aim to achieve. It's obvious that, since the GE this govt has been working towards closer ties.
Yes indeed. However manifestos should declare intentions. I hope that the positive results if they do negotiate better more productive ties will result in more votes and not a stupid right wing kick back from the myopic xenophobes.
This, rebuilding closer trade ties between UK & EU, is absolutely necessary, imho! "They want trade before defence, trade before Channel crossings, and definitely trade with the EU before trade with Donald Trump.”
All that sounds great, but before being able to join the EU and getting a British candidacy to join the EU accepted, the UK will need to clean its acts:
a) corruptions with Russia (Londongrad),
b) getting rid of the Brexit Man and associates
c) put Conservatives back into its box where it belongs
It’s tiring the amount of people that rely on the MSM headlines to form their opinion the governments doing nothing. Where is the truth likely to be, well maybe https://labour.org.uk would be a good place to start if your attention span lasts longer than a Farage statement. I feel your frustration Claire
Frustrated with what? The hope of jobs, hope of an improved and working relationship with Europe and a return of the UK leading at the table rather than bitching and moaning from outside the room. After 14 years it was never going to be easy or fixed in nine months.
