This is appalling. It rips apart the gains made since HUD and KO were est and given mandate in 2018 to take on our dysfunctional and inequitable housing system. Nat did this last time they were in power too- sales of state homes to developers. This is an even worse attack, wasting millions

So National’s policy is to cap KO stock for the next 30 years whilst also grow our population through immigration. It really is just a tissue-thin excuse for driving housing shortages and the resulting rent increases for landlords

The whole core function of urban development has ended. Team completely disbanded and made redundant. The market will do a better job apparently, according to Bishop. No more Hobsonville Points. Just. McMansions for the wealthy and shoeboxes for the poors.
