See also Propublica's piece from a year or two ago; they were investigating why people were coming up from Central America (climate change making their villages unsustainable) while writer was looking out his window in north SF at fires coming up the hills. Lots of people in the US need to relocate.

Don’t believe the climate hoax. These fires are and always were mostly preventable. Clear significant deadwood, don’t divert fresh water to “save” the environment, properly fund the fire dept, cancel all DEI hiring practices and make the merit based. Climate change is real but not how you think.

Don't make it about climate change, these cities burned to the ground long before any were busy with ACID rain, ozone layers or climate change!(it adds, yes, but is not the source of the problem). over and over again.
And still people start to build on that very same spot.
