I’m just setting off on my morning walk if anyone would like to join me. It won’t be a very picturesque one today, but there will be a stretch alongside the M62 and a reservoir to walk around. There is also a flask of tea.

The reason for doing depressing walks like today’s (not that you’re in any way interested) is that I’m on a mission. I’ve got a custom made Ordnance Survey map centred on our house, and I’m trying to cover as much ground on it as possible. It keeps me out of trouble at least.
Although I did see a red kite (the bird) close up which was pretty cool, although I didn’t get chance to take a picture before it buggered off. So have this picture of some electrical insulators to enjoy instead.
Paul I've got a similar plan for doing a walk around Fev. Been trying to do it for several years but time and health keep stopping me. Fingers crossed for this summer. plan is to walk the periphery of the urban area....
... Yeah sure Fev isn't pretty, and the surrounding landscape is unremarkable too. But it's my town, it's my landscape and it's part of my own history and my families. I think it's nice to have a connection like that.
I expect we will be departed by then. We've been trying to find somewhere between York and Leeds for a while and it's definitely gathered pace. Grandparenting requirement...
