There's definitely a difference between "I don't think possession/consumption of these substances should permanently ruin your life" and "life is all about the pursuit of pleasure." I'm definitely more the former than the latter. Restraint is important regardless of politics.
A million times this, it’s not the poison that matters its overall harms and benefits. Alcohol is one of the biggest killers and drains on NHS resources but because there’s a big alcohol lobby and drinking culture in the UK nobody says shit about it, unless they’ve had their life ruined by alcohol.
i would go further and advocate for safe supply of all drugs. i agree islam is on to something, but sometimes cannabis is the best way to manage chronic pain

Smoking weed is fine. Probably shouldn't do it all the time, and it is not a replacement for a personality. It can be very fun and relaxing when consumed responsibly.
I’m not sure if it’s healthy to be intoxicated/high 100% of the time on anything. Moderation is key.
