There was nothing 'creative' about any of the play calls today. They were all predictable....down the middle or a short toss for CMC. Even the 3rd down play calls were predictable...JJ. The broadcast even mentioned it.

I wouldn't call it arrogance he's just in a bind with personnel. He was almost better off when CMC was hurt because then he could throw out of formations with Mason in now he really can't. He needs CMC to run better or he needs to line him up at FB or Slot.

I strongly believe that Shanahan is a great play caller and a subpar game planner. Bad defenses seem to over perform often against us. One early injury to a key player and we look like a middle school offense.

I don't think we can under estimate how much the poor pass blocking is affecting the offense's ability to execute any sort of drop back passing game. If Shanahan wants to evolve into a drop back passing offense, then the team needs to invest in the oline, especially the center and right tackle.

Agreed. He's great and they had a great draft overall. The overall OL play is holding them back and its my hope they make it a priority during the offseason.

Agree with both of you. And, it kinda makes my beef with the game planing stronger. Why are we installing deep drops when we know they will almost never work.
