The MSRP for Mario Kart World is $79.99 (USD). That's the same by Nintendo for physical and digital. Any individual store can choose to charge more if they want to, but then just buy it from a different store 🤷🏻♂️

Definitely possible. So do you think by the time the next Zelda comes out, it won't be $80? I kind of figured they're setting a new standard for their "big" games.
Yeah after looking into it more that seems to be the case in some regions. I was focusing only on USA at first, where it DOES have the same price between digital and physical versions (we're just getting charged more digital copies actually)
where ? you are looking the digital price ? nintendo only shared it with the press info , eshop price are not up so far , only the msrp for physical games.
...I guess you're right 🤔 Everyone on reddit is complaining that the game is $80 digital and $90 physical, but there are Best Buy and Walmart listings for the game at $80 so I just assumed from there. But it is possible that the digital ends up LESS than MSRP and just hasn't been shown yet

people is just in panic mode and are not double checking.
but yes games are 10+ expensive physical and still the same price digital so far, key card look like use digital price
you say nintendo have the same price for both digital and phisical 80$ and store can put the price they want
then i say , you really think stores gonna sell digitals games under MSRP ? ... and nintendo gonna have the dame digital game at MSRP on eshop
