The fact almost all of the incompetent nominees were approved tells me that either they themselves are incompetent or just cowards. A single person can fear retribution, but if there are others who would stand with that person, the threat would be minimized or removed. Republicans are complicit.

Mike, if I may call you Mike, before you drag Murkowski you may want to consider if any of Trump's "other" appointees didn't secure at least one Senate Dem to vote for them.

It appears the answer to that is "no". If the Democratic party can't muster that kind of opposition, there's a bigger issue.

Thank you for your concern, but I actually have been in regular contact with the staff of both my senators and even visited their Tacoma offices to voice my displeasure with their votes to confirm Rubio (Cantwell and Murray) and Bessent (Cantwell).

Impressive . . . still, the fact that we could not manage united opposition to all (or even, say, more than one) speaks volumes. When a Senator breaks from the President of their party they are taking a big step, and not one that I can ding that hard when they don't when the "easy" op votes falter.
