President Trump’s administration is testing a new capability that would allow officials to email the entire federal government workforce from a single email address, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) says.

Take the name Trump out of it and this is actually efficient. Why would you want to send one email hundreds of times? Just have to code it so when responded to it just goes back to the sender and not everyone attached.
Why would you want to send emails to the entire federal workforce? I can't think of a single thing that would affect every single government worker. Even the WFO is going to affect everyone differently. Right now the heads of each department will send out the emails.
All I can say is I worked in a business where the president of the company emailed all of us with company email, with important matters rather than just the supervisor. I personally liked being part of the loop and not just chain of command 🤷♂️
What code? Why would you code for a distro list? This is something that's been around since the 90's. Sure you can drop all replies to the sender into a no-reply blackhole but everyone else on the list will still get flooded by reply-all's. It's a bad system and inefficient.
He wants to demolish the government. That was Bannon's plan and of course putin doesn't have to fire a shot. Anything that benefits anyone besides himself is at risk.
This is what the message looked like. Lots of folks suspected this was a phishing attempt, and reported it to IT. There was no advance notice this system was being tested.
You’re fired ! Signed, “Office of Personnel Management”. Is this an actual office? It’s sent by Trump, but purposely worded to distance itself from the Trump Administration. Federal workers are in for a rough ride.
