I think that's the idea. At 22 with his obvious talent, his ceiling is very high. Hi weaknesses - physical strength & the occasional bad decision - will only improve with top-level experience. I want to see him put through the mill ahead of the next World Cup. More worried about our dearth of props

I think platooning them risks a lack of continuity and cohesion. There's plenty of rugby to be played over the next few years. I'd like to see Prendergast given a solid stretch of games. I think he's in more need of it than Crowley. (And no, I'm not from Leinster - I have no dog in that fight)

The counter argument is it allows the opposition an insight into the game plan.
Wales knew exactly how Ireland were going to play today. They were 100% prepared and it nearly cost us the match.

I get that, 100%. But there's gains and losses no matter which way they handle it. My main prejudice is that I've been complaining for years that Ireland wait too long to expose young talent to top-level challenges - so now that they're trying it I'm reluctant to despair over a few bumps in the road

Hard agree on the young talent.
My issue is our tendency to do a highlander on our Outhalf and act like there can be only one.
We have 2 young outhalves. We can ensure both are match fit and ready. Otherwise we are telegraphing our game plan. And risking losing the chosen one.
