How to reform the Leaving Cert: 1. Decide why we educate society. 2. Find an alternative to the CAO. 3. Find the "heart" or "core" of each subject. 4. Decide best how to teach each subject. 5. Look at ways to assess that "core." 6. Make sure all of the above is equitable.

Consultation started in 2016 and was ignored by Foley in 2022. She unilaterally decided to add two new subjects, make every subject have a 40% project, and speeded up the whole redevelopment. So, no, there hasn't been any consultation.

Jesus, Section 31 is awful, just awful. It's not just the constant exposition, the sudden hair changes, the pointless Irish accent, the Guardians/Mission Impossible/Dune mash-up, it's also the cheapness of the sets, the whirling camera to compensate for style, the sci-fi channel colour coding.
