I really do think it's just decades of goodwill from old school PR work that enables him. People would turn on his buffoonery in anyone else so fast now but decades of fake but fawning 'successful businessman' PR & ‘amusing TV buddy' branding have locked in his image for too many

I’d be interested in seeing some sort of survey/group interview of people similar to this lady who opted to believe Trump’s lies and came to regret it. What about him made people want to believe anything he says? Unironically, I really have a hard time understanding.
