Is this just Biden, or is it the entire Democrat party? You are going to let us all know when it’s time to jump ship and form a big, beautiful 3rd party that beats both the R’s and the D’s.
Wow what a Russian propaganda riddled comment! How much does the Kremlin pay you?
People like you bear the responsibility of what's happening right now. Be proud!
You have 5 party's. Old school democrats , old school Republicans, progressive democrats, MAGA Republicans and the green party. AOC is leading old school Schumer by 30 to fill his senate seat. The party is going left. MAGA is it's own entity going populist and working class.
He's done more for institutional white supremacy and imperialism than Trump could ever have hoped for; he's a much more effective white supremacist and war criminal.
What's the dichotomay here? Wishing death on someone idealogically you oppose vs wishing death on someone who systemically slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent people?
I didn’t express any dichotomy so not sure what you mean.
I think Biden and Kissinger both did things that reasonable people would consider them villainous for. Personally, it’s just Kissinger from where I sit but also I get it.
I do remember that! It was before social media so I don't really recall who if anyone made jokes about him dying from it, or where they made those jokes. SNL? Leno?
I as a teenager so i absolutely don’t remember, but it was absolutely part of the national conversation. I assume late night at the least, there were a ton of “IF ONLY” or “I WAS ROOTING FOR THE PRETZEL” style joking on the matter.
Not that punk music is a good indicator of mass culture, but i wqs definitely dancing stound my bedroom as a 13 year old to this song that came out in 1997. https://youtu.be/lkmjybNA6Jk?si=7d_poSaUou4XriGj
Maybe? we had decentralized spaces, then largely centralized spaces and are back to decentralized spaces again, so i think it’s hard thing to quantify. I don’t think the crassness or explicitness of people’s thoughts have changed significantly, but i think media norms have shifted a lot.
Pretty simple: people who use the outsized power of the state and/or incomprehensibly vast wealth to maim and kill the global poor and working class deserve to be punished for it, yet aren’t. So making fun of them dying is pretty ok with me.
I don’t have an issue with it at all. I think everyone can within the bounds of the law decide what’s just right and what’s a little too macabre, and I don’t think any of this rises to the level of justifiable outrage.

Very smart, and definitely not people in echo chambers that sound exactly like Republicans did 50 years ago...
Out of curiosity though, what part is she wrong about?
I do know that “rooting for people you dislike to die of natural causes” is commonplace in 2025 (see eg Kissinger), so why the selective outrage here?

Other cases require more nuance, sure.
