They can’t replace an uber driver without support staff, and pedestrian fatalities, but now they’re replacing doctors, and lab assistants with “AI”? Horseshit. An insulting obvious lie showing they have no plan except hand waving.
Random things pop into my head. Earlier today I was remembering that rep who said that instead of free school lunches, poor kids should get jobs and work toward becoming productive members of society. I could not remember who it was until I read this…yep, this guy.
how can they even verify that they’re duplicative given evolving nature of AI and the whirlwind speed of the cuts. Not credible this was a legit process applying AI identify potential overlap functions. Complete crap cong cop out. Tech can never make final decisions not accountable—people decide
"The mention of AI led to “no’s” and murmurs from the crowd, leading the Republican representative to say, “I happen to be a doctor. I know a few things.”"
Giving the benefit of the doubt that perhaps it was an error in transcription. Either way, half of EIS was fired. They do a lot of field work--how in the world can AI do any of that? (Rhetorical. AI is bullshit).
