bowdoin has a nice little art museum, a museum dedicated to arctic studies (Robert Peary was an alum) and some cool Joshua Lawrence chamberlain ephemera (there’s also a museum in town)

I'd suggest the Giant's Stairs in Brunswick, but it is likely the worst time of year and likely impassible.
