Once on a misty day I was in the passenger seat of a car driving past one of New Zealand’s several cattle herds, and – half-asleep – I thought “Wouldn’t it be great if cows had enormous blackened knives for legs?” Naturally I had to paint this idea. I can’t think why I haven’t posted it before now
