Crazy how good Matt and Karen are in the first episode they even filmed! I know the moving angels were controversial but I thought it was such a great surprise and very chilling. My affection for Series 5 knows no bounds!

Also, while this is more of a compliment for The Big Bang, the timey-wimey moment of the Doctor comforting Amy from the future is maybe my favorite moment in Doctor Who history.

I love how the dialogue works off the same trick as "Well, I can hear you." in Blink. Cleverly written so it makes sense in both the context we first hear it in, and later in its proper 'original' context.

A really good 2 parter but the beginning of the end for the angels’ fear factor for me. Every new ability they get after blink just muddies the water (image of an angel is an angel / second time they touch you you explode????) and makes them less scary and feels a bit contrived imo

It's a fun romp although I do think it's very much floored, it's definitely fun.

I don't really like the angels talking, I think it serves a purpose in the episode and makes some good jokes. But overall I think the angels as a silent villain makes them so much scarier.

The second they can talk, suddenly they're not pure hunters who despite being smart are completely impossible to reason with.

Instead they're just people. It also comes up when the devision has Angel agents. That's just a guy now. He has a job and personal belief system.
