Yeah, that sure is nestled in the back of the head.
Central Coast isn’t all that great either if something was to happen there (tried to plan for that).
Nor would the Sydney basin be if an LA situation occurred (starting in Kuringai or Berowra Valley).

Fortunately it's unlikely. Even at Max speed fires move through the heathy woodland at a fraction of the speed of sagebrush fires in Southern Cali. Still could lose 100s of houses in a catastrophic conditions fire.

Yup if that Gospers mountain fire in 2019-2020 had crossed the river and got into the Berowra bush it would have absolutely gone through to north Sydney

Dad, having spent almost his entire adult life in the RFS and BFBs has a story about a fire in the lower blue mtns that cut the trainline and the highway stopping locals getting back to fight the fire, so they called in the rest of Sydney.
