I hope Dorgu is part of the answer to our woes. Looking at the differences between Lisbon & MUFC, we have too many defensive minded players. The wide players at Lisbon can attack & defend. So it doesn't matter who plays up front for us, if the wide players aren't contributing then there's less goals - ThreadSky

I’m not sure he’s the guy we get from Sporting. Quenda I feel is the jewel. And a great age. I’m concerned though that if we got Osimhen that the ego might be too big. But we’ll see. I’m optimistic though for a good summer.

I think all the leaks about us having to be prudent this summer could just be designed to temper expectations from fans to selling clubs so they don't expect huge fees to be paid. Or at least I hope that's the case

I think finances are that bad. We lose £100m a year, buy players on the credit card. Usually panic buys who are very difficult to sell on. Do think summer can be good. Evans, Lindelof and Eriksen leaving frees up 20m py alone. Casemiro/Rashfird leaving makes spending a good amount a lot easier.

It wont be years, we wouldnt have approached him without knowledge of his system & he wouldnt have taken the job without the promise we would buy players to fit his system. You just have to look at Leon, Dorgu & Heaven who all fit in a 3-4-3. We'll get players this summer. We just have to be patient

It might take years to win the PL yes but to get us playing better football, scoring plenty of goals, not making so many mistakes... That can be fixed with coaching & the players buying in to the tactics. The ones who dont want to have gone. I think things will turn around in the next 6-12 months.

I'm not talking about winning the league I'm talking about being competitive, we need a lot of players and chances are there's still going to be more players who can't play the system than can next season so do we write next season off too?

Next season will not be as bad as this season, I am so sure. And if it is, then Amorim will be gone and INEOS learn a valuable lesson. But I can’t see it not working. We could end well & win the Europa this year, there’s always a chance we’re in the CL next season. It’s all hypothetical right now…

Should be players catering to managers system, not the other way round. Figure out who fits and who doesn't. First season under EtH was decent because he changed system to suit the players he had but when he changed it to more suit his style, look where it got us. Short term pain for long term gain.

The players are not capable of playing his system and all we are learning is that Amorim believes his system is more important than results. That's all fine if the club can afford to get the players he wants in but that could take 2/3 years so are we happy to write off next season too

Had they done what he wanted & come at the end of the season, he would have had a whole pre season to work with them. A few signing who know the system would have brought some of the others on quicker. We already had Ugarte. Yoro has played in a 3, 2 wing backs & a striker & “I” think he’d be ok

It's a BIG ask to think in one preseason he can assess all the current players, identify new players for problem positions, train these players in a new system - all while flying around the world on commercial preseason tours!
Now the summer job is manageable.

Isn't that the problem though? Every new manager is handed a squad of players who have been buys from previous managers and majority of them don't fit the new manager's system. Manager changes his system to fit the squad initially. New players are bought suiting the managers system.

Manager reverts to his original system, results go bad. Manager is not given the time to fully implement his system and is sacked midway through the process, again leaving the new manager mess of a squad and the cycle continues. It's upto INEOS to break the cycle. IMO Amorim is right in his belief.

I would rather we have pretty bad results rn (anything barring relegation) and then have slowly improving results from next season rather than first season success of many previous managers and then start having dire performances and results going downhill from season 2.

Yes it's up to Ineos to say hang on a minute have we given this manager all he needs to be successful and that is the hope. This isn't the Glazers anymore so Amorim should be able to go to Berrada and say I'll adapt this season to try to get better results but I need the players to play my system
