THIS is a great book, and bc I read it when it came out, I was psychologically prepared ( as much as anyone CAN be) for the events of the past 4 years, and the past 14 days. She's a lovely writer, and an expert in the rise of authoritarian governments;I've read all her books, and most of her essays.
Sadly some of us have read all your books over the years and have been watching as it all unfold pretty much exactly as you said it would. Although him wanting to destroy our economy and annex Canada wasn’t on my prediction list.
You know the tarrifs are just extortion. He'll strike some "deal" which he will claim as the best deal ever struck, and tell everyone what a hero he is.
