EU and 🇲🇽 solidified their trade agreement just before trump came into power. EU also solidified trade with other South American countries. 🇲🇽 has also increased trade with China. 🇨🇦 has been focused on 🇺🇲 and has wasted time. 🇺🇲 is skipping G20 - time to strategize a world without 🇺🇲.

It is obvious that we can never trust or depend on the US again - for anything! Even if the MAGAts no longer control Congress in 2 years, even if a Democrat is elected President in 4 years, the MAGAts can always slither back and tear up any agreements and threaten our economy and sovereignty.

I LOVE it! Canada should have proposed such a union a long time ago. I blame Brian Mulroney for 'putting all our eggs in one basket' signing the exclusive Canada/US/Mexico Free trade Agreement back in the 1980's. Ditto Mexico. The union you've suggested would make sense

We have FTAs with Mexico and the EU, and Mexico has a FTA with us and The EU.

I prefer TAFTA - Trans-Atlantic Free Trade Agreement. Gives room to grow. Also doesn't get unto the CUSMA, USMCA, T-MEC, home country first convention thing.

Cool idea but agreements don't make trade happen. Level of Canadian and Mexican trade with US compared with that to Europe will remain high given the land, inland water and other border access and close markets.
May be some scope for EU trade in digital services instead of manufactured goods.
