I used to watch TV in bed. The TV was removed from the bedroom. I now read a book in bed and have a much better sleep. The APAP machine also helps.

One of the best events i ever attended was the Festival if Books in Havana Cuba! So many countries represented with their donations of books in every language , all absolutely free to anyone who wanted them! A beautiful celebration of literacy(cuba has almost 100 percent literacy)

It is an awesome book fair. Was incredibly windy last year. A stunning weekend for it this year. Wish we could have attended. My wife loves the children’s section. As a part of the “Night with Series” they do we saw Speaker Pelosi in October…it was awesome.

Without a doubt the greatest book reading/signing I ever attended was at the 1997 Miami Book Fair. Douglas Adams & Terry Jones together for “Starship Titanic”. It was absolutely as absurd & funny as you’d imagine. 27 years later I still look back and laugh. Thrilled to hear it’s still going strong.

Same. Two new bookstores opened in NC town I live (very red). They are both always busy. It warmed my heart tremendously! Not a red hat in sight. And all of the banned books at the front door! 😊

I will never understand people who don't read, how can you not want to expand your mind. My mum grew up in a residential school, they never taught her how to read it was the cook who did. She gave my mum book to hide,and that how she learn to read and write.

Cherie. My bedroom is stacked with piles of books. I used to give many away as I was moving around a lot (on the lam/lamb so to speak). Lately I’ve been holding onto them like treasures. Sometimes I don't return library books for a while until I get around to it. They comfort me like Rosie did.

In Argentina the National Book Fair takes place for almost three weeks and more than 1 million people visit it, it's all books and writers you can meet, so wonderful and massive as well

I am glad there was an interest in books. However, on stastic shows reading has not advanced much in the U.S. 54% of the U.S. population reads at the 6Th grade level another 20% read at only the 3rd grade level. Not a great statistic.
