I worked in a very small farm town. Horses can really freak out and get hurt with the sound of fireworks. The owners would sedate their horses prior to July 4th and New Year's.

Last night was awful. My husband had to hug our dog and 3 cats under the blankets while I went out to calm the donkey and goats in the barn.

On my way out I yelled at the top of my lungs - YOU SON'S OF BITCHES - and either it was their last firework or I was very scary. It all stopped.
