Kilmar Garcia was in the U.S. legally. He entered as a minor and had legal protection under “withholding of removal” granted by a judge in 2019, meaning deportation was prohibited by law. ICE removed him anyway, and the Supreme Court ruled it was illegal. Facts matter more than slogans.

Undocumented immigrants paid an effective federal income tax rate of 5.27% in 2022. That means they paid a higher effective tax rate than 5 of the richest Americans…and a higher effective tax rate than 55 mega corporations. So let me ask you: who are the real freeloaders?

Just know that the utterly horrific or unconstitutional thing he's doing right now is just meant to distract you from the 15 other utterly horrific or unconstitutional things he is doing right now.

Just so we’re clear, everybody calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “terrorist” or a “gang member” are lying, and they know they’re lying, and they repeat it for purposes of confusing people who don’t follow this stuff closely into accepting what was done to him.

Exactly.

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

Dear Decent Human Beings in the Military and Law Enforcement, If you are ordered to violate the Constitution by this president, please disobey. The millions who served, suffered, and died before you deserve your courage now.

His name is Andry Hernandez Romero. He is a young professional from Venezuela. He is a makeup artist. He is a gay man. Andry was a target for abuse in his homeland of Venezuela. He was viciously humiliated daily — the victim of discrimination for his sexuality. He was also being persecuted for…

“BRING HIM HOME” 🔥

You don’t have to agree with someone’s views to defend their right to say it. This is what authoritarian regimes do, not us. If this ruling stands, it’s not just the end of a legal case, it’s the end to free speech.

Historian here posting for no reason at all. U.S. Constitution, Article II Section 4: "The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

it was/is a huge national security scandal and nobody involved should ever be in a position of public trust again

So the goal is to keep women from voting. Isn't that so little white dick energy.

An innocent man, picked up by “mistake,” must not be allowed to rot in an El Salvadorian jail. Mr. President. Obey the courts. Obey our Constitution. Bring him home immediately.

This right here. This is exactly it.

And F the 4 Dems that helped pass this VOTER SUPRESSION BILL!!!

The logic of filling in public swimming pools with dirt or cement instead of racially integrating them, applied to the whole country

They are snatching people off the street and sending them away to brutal prisons in foreign lands with zero due process - and they won't even bring them back when they realize a mistake was made. That's frightening stuff for any American who actually loves their country. #StopTrumpsTerror

It’s a month since the administration detained and disappeared a green card holder, a lawful permanent resident. We cannot allow this to be normalized or forgotten.

Every minute that Kilmar Abrego Garcia spends in the Salvadoran gulag is a moment that due process is being denied and his health & safety imperiled.

I will henceforth use the Spanish word for those who the government disappears: desaparecido That captures the real sense of what took place in Chile, Argentina and other parts of South America where dictators were in charge.

Now listen to this in the context of the SCOTUS’ decision. Yes, you can get a lawyer and file a habeas petition IF you can get a lawyee. But when wheels go up on the flight you are gone. And from what we’re seeing in the Garcia case this Admin will fight like hell to keep you gone.

Can we stop calling these atrocities "deportations." These people sold to El Salvadorian prisons were not deported. Deportation is a process that did not take place. They were rounded up and removed with no process. They were kidnapped, not deported.

John Roberts is the most miserable human being on earth. A man is rotting away in a foreign prison, put there by a government that has admitted to wrongly detaining him, and he is staying the order to return him because he wants this *briefed?*

He’s insane. There’s an amendment for that.

If you are not furious at what our government did to these people, there’s something wrong with you.

By the way, both women who ran for president were right. They predicted this moment would happen. Says something very disturbing about our country that many still think they’re unrealistic or dramatic, when they were and are, in fact, correct.

All you motherfuckers needed to do was to vote for the Black-Indian lady. I loathe all you fools who voted to enact this misery. I loathe you with every fiber of my being and I’m not sorry.
