A hill I will always die on: The Star Wars prequels told a rich, smart story about an individual's descent into evil due to operating out of hubris and fear, and how even venerable institutions (the Republic, Jedi Order) can do the exact same…
…It's just horribly written and made mostly for kids.

I still think the more daring "Obi Wan and Padme were together behind Anakin's back" was a far more emotionally challenging story.
If I compare Phantom Menace and Skeleton Crew, for example...
Kids being kids is better comedy than Jar-Jar stepping into dung.
Every single person on screen was and is a very good to excellent actor, and that's the outlier for most of them.
I still enjoy the prequels though.
The Prequels--promising story and good world-building--horribly written
The first 2 Rey movies--no really good story or world-building ideas, but pretty well written and executed. (basically the opposite of the prequals).
In the sequel trilogy, we find out that jedi can do force healing after all. Either the sequels were badly written, or the jedi were lying. I can't decide.
