We run 7:30-7:30 Monday and Tuesday. We have had March ones almost every year in the 22 years I have been in this district until this year. They decided we needed more seat minutes and that they were unnecessary.
Two day week so we (three of us teach the same course it’s a big school) decided to test on Monday and then do the Energy skate park PhET on Tuesday fully confident it will be erased from their memory over the long wknd then we can start afresh on the energy unit post Tgiving.
Last week, we looked at the importance of gratitude, and students wrote letters of gratitude to parents, elementary teachers, or teachers in our middle school. I will send teacher in our district their letters. It was an awesome two days.
Fortunate to have the whole week off out here so it’s all about getting outside and creative play- getting some Mylar to do some stencil experiments with that I might introduce as a tool to use for our “exploration “ themed student exhibit this year
