These senators are—and I say this without hyperbole—absolute morons. Well, that is, except for the ones actually recognize the extraordinary power this will give the Trump administration to target online speech it doesn't like, and so are just morally corrupt.

You can already sue people who post mean things about you: 230 doesn't change that.
It doesn't take much to imagine vexatious right wing douchebags would sue platforms at the drop of a hat. Most platforms with forums will just get rid of those forums, and things like Reddit or Bluesky, which are all forum are gone
And this is before Trump EO yesterday, that further punishes lawyers and firms that oppose him.
The EO and killing 230 would end opposition to Trump online.
