Mate, they always try to say they're too fat. A way of them selling their diet plans & food. Las time I went it was a joke. Said Luna was overweight but when we weighed her she was under what she was last time and last time the lady said she was absolutely fine and a healthy size. 😆

I'm sure this happens but to be fair, Millie is definitely overweight.

She bottoms out when she reaches the bottom of the stairs at any kind of speed.

She's a lovely cat, but a rescue cat.

It's a guess, but I think she was hungry a lot at a very young age and as a result has a bad relationship with food.

She has increased her body weight by about 15% though, so that's probably on us. 😕

We're going to help her out.

Worth seeing what it’s like in summer - my cat seems to bulk up in winter then spends a lot more time running about outdoors in summer (uk) so let’s say he puts on some Xmas weight like the rest of us 😄

Exactly this. If its like my cat where she's sort of an indoor and outdoor cat, then I notice she'll be out all summer and lean, then in all winter sleeping & eating. Bit like me really.

Same. In winter, my wee rescue cat eats his normal food but really lards up because he spends most of his time sleeping in the warmth. Come summer, he’s outside, running around and hunting and sheds the weight.

We have thirteen rescue cats. We managed to put one on a diet a few years ago by getting a microchip operated feeder. They all had access to the biscuits in the feeder, except DeeDee, who could only eat tinned food

No cheese! DeeDee lost weight and then didn't stop. She had iodine treatment last year for hyperthyroidism and the weight has piled on. She intimidates the other cats using the feeder and steals biscuits, so we are literally installing a cat flap into the study today, where the biscuits will live
