Huge red flag any time a company refers to their workforce as family. Not only can family members be dysfunctional AF, this is clearly a business. Just say that and treat your people well.

i once worked for a family concern. i was the only non-family member working there. turned out i had been hired to replace a daughter who had not long before committed suicide. that was the most dysfunctional work situation i ever encountered. and i quit after only ~6 months.
Nope they won’t get paid anything. Labour laws here in india are non-existent, let alone lawsuits. Even if they did end up firing all those employees nothing would have happened to the company. If at all the government took any action, they’d bribe the officials and then it’s all back to normal.
I mean they are all a huge family, otherwise how else will they justify guilt trip you into sacrificing your peace, time and energy for no appreciation in return. Only a fool would do any of those things for people they don’t consider family
That's crazy. From the business viewpoint I think the better approach would be to make workers feel less stressed, as it would improve their productivity. Why are there so few companies with such policies?

In the uk we can have stress leave!
That's a funny way of thanking people 👌🏻

no, they are no longer in business
