14th amendment section 3...dmango is disqualified from holding office...Joe took an oath to insure the laws are faithfully executed...he should use his immunity and enforce the Supreme law of the land...the Constitution...he doesn't need immunity from fulfilling his oath of office...
This is not going to go over well but if Biden fixed SCOTUS when he went into office most of this shit wouldn't be this bad and Trump would have gone to court months before the election. Before you come at me know I support Joe but this one fuck up screwed us all.
Hmmm....I have an idea! Let's all just stop buying from them. Let's buy local, second hand, or DIY. Get only what you need. Do homemade as much as possible. Hit em in the wallet. That's all we have: stop consuming as much as we can. It hurts their metrics, their profits and that's where it counts.
If only there were roadmaps of how to do that through our many books, TV shows, and films. History already told us what we need to do. But they won't give in without a fight.
Meanwhile, MAGA thinks they are being led by Bane:
As President, Biden should just use his power to label MAGA, like ISIS and other organizations, as terrorists. Once he's done that, he has all the power, thanks to the Supreme Court, to prosecute and arrest not just Trump, but Alito and Thomas.
It took them what, 7 - 8 months to make that ruling, delaying prosecution just long enough to interfere with the election. The orange guy knows how to get the delays he wants to forestall any accountability in his crimes. SCOTUS created the decision out of whole cloth, not the constitution.
Trump wasn’t held accountable cos the legal processes started too late and were too slow! If Jack Smith had gone to SCOTUS in 2022 or 2023 his report would have been released well before the election rather than after. Garland decided to wait until the J6 committee reported out - fatal error!
President Biden is partially correct in his indictment of the Supreme Court. But his own inept Attorney General, Merrick Garland shd also bear responsibility for Trump walking scot-free for his crimes.
Too little and much too late. Biden had one job: shore up democracy and make sure 2017-21 wouldn’t happen again. He sadly failed. All his other achievements pale beside that.
He couldn't do it alone, but it seems he missed the mark on leading the charge. Too set on the damn "norms" that didn't (and won't) save us from what's coming.
Biden delivered us a warning to stand guard. Beware of the oligarchy. Protect our precious and fragile democracy. He is not an orator, hard to listen to, but he nails the substance if you can decipher it. And embrace it. And believe the need stand up and stand guard.
We no longer live in a country with a government Of the People, By the People, and For the People.
This will be a government run by Oligarchs.
Oligarchy is a form of government in which power rests with a small number of people. Ultra Wealthy People.
If Garland hadn’t waited until the fall of 2022 (Smith report) to seriously investigate and hire Smith the time crunch wouldn’t have allowed the court to delay until it was too late. If norms & institutions hadn’t ruled the DOJ, being a candidate wouldn’t have mattered. The buck stopped with Biden.
Garland, SCOTUS, CANON. Its actually weird improbable that he avoided accountability. The dragging things out at great expense should be a course in law school.
So glad to hear him say what most of us have always known.
He’s also right that we need term limits for SCOTUS.
The same wouldn’t hurt for Congress also.
Unfortunately the wealthy and the GOP have been sowing the seeds of this corruption for decades. While democrats and the commoners stood around with their thumbs up their asses! We made sure the American dream is now a nightmare.
Do you think we will actually get clarification from SCOTUS regarding immunity before Trump kicks the tires on the Seal Team Six concept? Because the weather forecast is in and a Cloud of Criminality is about to grip the Nation and Bondi is about to be confirmed.
It’s sad people say it the “Supreme Court” that is a problem when we know it’s some bad actors - it’s not all of them. The other three must hate to go to work everyday.
Also glad to see Biden called out Citizen's United as well...didn't call it by name but referred to it instead by the term "Dark Money" in campaign politics which allows for larger amts. to be put in campaign coffers w/o naming donors.
Its why we're where we are today.

Words are nice but I’d rather he use the protection that ruling gives him to release volume 2 since we all know that appeal isn’t going to last more than a week past next Monday. Given that Trump will defecate all over whatever legacy he hoped to have, it is no time to pull punches due to “norms.”
I loved his speech. He went after the orange turd, the tech billionaires and the corrupt Supreme Court. On January 21, people might be missing normal, because when the orange monster gets in there unfortunately again, we will be living in a nightmare for at least 4 years
All just fancy words. He had his chance to flush the orange turd, but he was napping. How much more did they need to lock him up? Huge failure. All his other 50 yrs effort will be unraveled very quickly.
Nope. Not a cultist. Just smart enough to know that the system failed/ country to hold trump accountable. Joe should have passed the torch a lot sooner, and we wouldn't be in this mess.
I love reading through the responses to anything A.G. skeets. I can always tell who actually listens to her podcasts and who just wants to take a 'womp. womp.' on everything.
Trump wasn't held accountable because impotent Biden picked a likewise impotent AG.
They had a good shot as shown by the effort of Jack Smith.
The rest are all excuses.
To everyone wishing Biden had done something more extreme, that would have undermined all our rights. Biden has faith in us, the people, to protect our rights and he’s right. We will. Eventually, we remove the anti- democracy provisions from the Constitution & bring the tech lords to heel.
Trump wasn’t held accountable because he won the election. Hypothetically, SCOTUS could have rejected presidential immunity within weeks after the issue was teed up for it and neither federal case would have gone to verdict before the election.
He should have ordered Trump killed and see what happens. He’s fucking 85 years old and will be dead in 5 years anyway. Could have saved the country. But he didn’t.
Just a shame he’s done nothing in 4 years to address the three totally immoral and utterly political, professionally inept appointments his predecessor made.
I’m betting in this coming term it’ll be packed with more of the same.
We all do. Roberts can be offended all he wants but he let corruption ruin the Court and any sense of “justice for all” that Americans used to repeat like a mantra.
Presidential immunity is subject in each instance to the interpretation and decision making of the Supreme Court, so in practice, while Trump has nearly unlimited immunity, Biden does not, given the current members of the Supreme Court.
His incompetent attorney general is why Trump wasn’t held accountable.
They should have arrested Trump for dereliction of duty on January 6 when the Turtle and MyKev were brazenly denouncing Trump on the floor of congress
That’s what you get when you normalize a career conman
The president can't just arrest someone. That's ridiculous.
Any ex. order will be overturned day 1 by Trump. None of these suggestions are how government works.
Biden was too weak to use the power of the bully pulpit to rail against Roberts, Alito, and Thomas. To rail against Oligarchs BEFORE the election. To stop tax-payer subsidized Musk.
We trusted our elected officials to do the right thing, by law and ethics. Who knew corruption & greed was so prevalent. The average American taxpayers has been hoodwinked by criminals.

Cry more cultist.
This isn't on Joe.
Takes courage and morals.
They had a good shot as shown by the effort of Jack Smith.

Nor did I say that SCOTUS can't be packed.
Making up shit and pretending I said it isn't going to make your position any stronger.
Also, trump doesn't need to pack SCOTUS because he already has his majority.
listen to it.

Thank you Joe!!

He was the commander in chief.
He failed, and now we will all witness the collapse of our beloved Republic.
Any ex. order will be overturned day 1 by Trump. None of these suggestions are how government works.
He won’t though
38 million couldn't be bothered...
Less than 250,000 votes across 4 swing states.
75 million voted against Trumpism.
Biden was too weak to use the power of the bully pulpit to rail against Roberts, Alito, and Thomas. To rail against Oligarchs BEFORE the election. To stop tax-payer subsidized Musk.
Failure.
