Freeze your credit individually at each bureau. It’s free:
• Experian: https://www.experian.com/freeze
• Equifax: https://www.equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services/credit-freeze
• TransUnion: https://www.transunion.com/credit-freeze
It says it's $25/month after the first week.
I get almost all of the features from my bank, and whatever fee they want must be rolled in to what I'm charged, so I don't see it. Seems worth it if you can't get similar from your bank.

Make sure you keep track of your login information ! Use a password manager so you can have complex passwords. As long as you have those, it’s easy to lift the freeze for a few days to apply for credit.
“Because DOGE has access to our tax information and our social security information. Anyone with that can apply for credit with our information.”

It's easy and free.
Pulled 2 weeks pay in cash out of the bank the other day cause I wouldn't be surprised if/when they go after FDIC

Not financial advice. Do whatever you want. Just food for thought. You can always re-invest in the unlikely event the system doesn't collapse.

Create an online account with each. Dig your way around and you'll find an option to freeze your credit. It is free. They might offer it as part of a paid subscription package but a freeze by itself is free. /1
Also - don't trust anything on those sites. Those companies are pure shit. /2

I'm pretty sure every piece of paperwork and report was deposited in circular file. Yep, freeze credit. Check credit report or have notification of change. Get a passport.

Our financial advisor offered the same recommendation.

There is a difference between a "hard pull" and a "soft pull" on your account by a creditor. I recommend reading info on the agency websites. The main point of the freeze is to stop someone who has your personal information from opening accounts or borrowing money in your name.

You can no longer depend on SS. Very soon you will be living on what ever monies you have saved.
I don't expect to see my next check from Social Security.
$1=100M
$10=$1B
S100=$10B
$1,000=$100B
$10,000=$1Trillion
Spend YOUR $$ wisely - avoid Meta, Google, Home Depot etc and others backing Trump.
Freeze chexsystems!!!
It is free just like the credit locks and prevents scammers opening a new bank account in your name.
Lots of people don't know this

Another little tip: use DuckDuckGo or any other search engine instead of Google.

You want the freeze. They’ll push the lock to the front first.

It’s used by a lot of banks, so inaccuracies or negative data can prevent you from opening a bank account.
TransUnion is $30 a month to lock etc hah, so I just froze that one
& equifax was annoying but you have to do the “lock & alert” which is free to do you just have to search for it through the site

Do you think that Elon is the only one that has the data now?
And do you think that even further leaks of the data will not be happening shortly?
There have been so many large data leaks from hackers in the past 10 years infiltrating large corporate databases.
If you're an American, your data is probably in the hands of nefarious individuals already.
Lock it down!
