When we say Tabarnak, it's a swear word using tabernacle as the base for that. People from Quebec use a lot of words that come from the Church, like Christ. I know it is difficult to comprehend, but if you lived in Quebec, you would hear a lot of that.
My father was French Canadian, and I was born and raised in Montreal. He used to string a bunch of swear words together at once... "Mon Dieux tabernak ostie de colin..."

My French Canadian translator wife & I had tears in our eyes from laughing... Catholic Church's oppression in Quebec resulted in the strongest profanity being religious in nature rather than pornagraphic. The Orange Felon's name triggers numerous religious references meaning loathing and disgust.
