The institutions of this economy depend on the institutions of this democracy.

We've got to stress that democratic backsliding is what's *causing* our economic backsliding. The entire economy should not be held hostage by a mad king.

It’s not because the corporate law there is the most permissive, it’s because there is near certainly in dispute outcomes because of the specialization and stability of their rule of law.

It is not unimaginable to me that the Kremlin and locally-based groups have handlers assigned to every major political position & they have orchestrated mob-style extortion & blackmail married w/ campaign contributions to craft each Congressperson, Justice/Judge & other major figures for decades.

Our model depends on an informed voting populace. Institutions of journalism & tools of info dissemination get targeted, so now far-right/right "news outlets" spread debunked misinfo & Russian propaganda 24x7. Our huge problem is that we have no palatable plan for that & very little ingrained skill
