My brother told my mom he wished he was dead. He stopped going to therapy and taking Zoloft. He didn’t feel like they were helping. There is nothing you can do to help someone who doesn’t think they can be helped.

You're welcome the only reason I spoke on it is because I've been where he was I felt the same way before sometimes it's hard instead of medication maybe counseling will help it did for me
honestly this is my worst nightmare for my brother, i really hope hes doing ok, and so are you! all you can do is be supportive, because making an effort i think is all people really need <3
I was on Zoloft for many years and it did absolutely nothing for my (lifelong, life-threatening) depression. Therapy was helpful but not enough by itself. Then I got a prescription for Lexapro and Wellbutrin, and my depression ended like THAT and never returned.
You’re abso correct, no one can make anyone do anything. And getting no results can be deeply discouraging. But I hope your brother can hear, at some point, that healing is possible and worth holding on for.
