Labour should do better communicating but do you think the right wing press should bear no responsibility for attacking the Labour government since day one?
That must have something to do with it, I'd have thought - that and the fact that public broadcasters still allow newspapers to set their agenda every morning (and evening).
Not just the 'right wing media'. Outlets like The Mirror and The Guardian, not exactly fans of right-wing politics, decried the winter fuel move as well. I'd say the announcement got big headlines everywhere, which partly explains why so many people know about it.
Most people don’t really take much interest in politics even if they see the media items. They only remember a small number of things. On BBCs pointless only just over 90% could identify a clear picture of King Charles, let alone an obscure politician.
Which is exactly why I found it hard to believe that the news story of Tulip Siddiq’s resignation would be ranked as high as 5th (and above both the Musk and WFA stories).
