I just caught, by sheer accident, a performance of Under Milk Wood by a legion of Welsh legends on BBC Four.
Bliss!

I absolutely loved that book.
Wish there was more like this on tv, but BBC budget cuts hampered Wolf Hall (though it didnβt show.) and I suspect things are going to get worse.

As I said, in my long life, one of my missteps has been to have been mostly ignorant of this wonderful work. Now corrected, I'm going to get a copy of the book. Meanwhile, this marvellous production is firmly bookmarked.
Impression?
It's a radio play, designed to be heard only.
So first, listen only, as the characters and the village of Llareggeb unveil themselves in all Dylan's glorious script.
Then, return to the broadcast to watch the actors working to bring the tale to life.
On BBC iPlayer for next two months:

Going to listen, but the Burton version has been part of my life long since my father bought it on vinyl.
So this will have to go some...
