It's exactly the kind of 3d action adventure game I wish people still made, but like early Splinter Cell style stealth, nobody really does anymore, not to that kind of scale and quality. I'm gonna take your this game really slow and savour it, but I'm loving it so far

Sure it's 90% nostalgia but I really love the look and feel of a lot of those GCN/PS2 games. There's jank of course but there's also a simplicity and directness in the game design. It's not all bloated with extra mechanics and options and all that, it's just a game and you play it.

I haven't played it since it released on the OG Xbox way back when, but I remember loving it and at the time thinking it scratched that Ocarina of Time-style Zelda itch. Really thought the series was in for some success and then...never got anything else. :(

underrated gem for sure. played it when it first came out, and enjoyed the hell out of it. the one bright side to working in vid rental retail, was the free game rentals.

but yeah, remember when games were games? as opposed to part-time jobs, i mean 😄

Yeah I really liked it when you could just sit down, okay a game, have a fun experience that didn't have to last forever, and wasn't all overcomplicated. No always online, no microtransactions, no dlc. You just buy the game then play the game

You make me want to play it again. Been too long.

Almost as long as the sequel's been taking to come together. Not overly hopeful for it to actually ever arrive or be good, but we'll see.
